On a Dead End road called Jericho Lake Road we found York Pond. We were exploring ‘off the beaten trail’ roads in New Hampshire north of the White Mountains. Just us and nature.
As we made our way across Vermont, attempting to visit as many State Parks as we could get into, we travelled down a narrow curvy road and found Boulder State Park. After parking at the closed gate and walking down a leaf filled path, we came across this beautiful view of the lake. The temperature was chilly, however, the sunshine made for a nice walk along the beach capturing photos of the clouds. It is impossible to describe the serenity of being the only ones there connecting with nature. Just being present.
Simplicity in character, in manners, in style; in all things the supreme excellence is simplicity.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
